Before we switched to this ceramic bowl, we used the typical lightweight metal ones. What I do remember is how they kept sliding away every time Batman tried to eat. He’d nudge the bowl once and it would drift across the floor, leaving half his food behind.
With the ceramic bowls, that problem simply disappeared.

If your cat won’t drink from the new fountain immediately, don’t stress — they just need time.
Batman didn’t get used to the fountain right away — it took almost four weeks for him to feel completely comfortable. At first, he didn’t seem very interested, but at the same time, he kept listening to the soft humming sound the fountain makes.
To help him adjust, I turned the fountain off and placed his regular water bowl on top of it. After a few days, I removed the old bowl but still kept the fountain off, allowing him to drink from it like a normal water dish. Once he was drinking confidently, I switched the fountain on again.
He pulled back a little at first, unsure about the running water, but with time and patience, he got used to it — and now he drinks from it without hesitation.Throughout the whole process, his regular water bowl was always kept available to ensure that the new fountain experience wouldn’t discourage him from drinking water. This approach worked beautifully.

But honestly, the real joy is simply watching how peaceful he becomes — his whole expression softens, his whiskers relax, and he melts into the moment in a way that warms my heart more than words can say.
