When my previous black-and-white cat, Sting, whom I adopted from a shelter and who shared his life with me for almost twenty years, crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I thought I wouldn’t have any more pets.

For a while, that was true. While I wasn’t yet ready to open my heart to another pet, I knew the desire to offer a home would always be there, waiting for the right time.
And… six months later, Batman, a 3.5-year-old gorgeous, silver-gray, and very adventurous cat who was looking for a new home, came into my life.

With him came joy and curiosity, as well as a deeper awareness of how easily he could get lost, especially in the early days after rehoming.

I quickly learned that instead of worrying about where he might wander, I could focus on finding a way that gives both of us peace of mind — a solution that keeps him safe without taking away his freedom. And I’m so glad that the journey of finding a solution led us to Tractive GPS devices for pets.

From that experience, SilverCatTwinHeart was born — from love, loss, and the wish to keep my beloved cat safe, and to help others find the same sense of peace and connection.
